Heat Recovery & Emission Reduction
Previously, the released heat/energy was emitted during the afterburner process. (The installation temperature is between 750 and 1000 degrees Celsius). Thermal flue gas cleaning is increasingly used, this is due to the high operational reliability and the very high degree of cleaning that is achievable.
The thermal afterburner is specifically used for the removal of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The released heat is now used by means of a heat exchanger, which heats water to a maximum of 100 degrees. This heat is used again for heating the drying air of the printing presses, heating offices and production areas.
Before Cervitech starts such a project, we discuss all the steps in the process with our client, project managers and suppliers. For example, we went with the client to our supplier of the printing press in Spain to clearly agree on the right specializations of the machine, we guide and involve our client and partners from A to Z in the process. The “One Stop Shopping” principle used by Cervitech!
First of all, our specialized measurement technician colleagues make measurements in a number of extensive sessions of, among other things, the drying air flows with solvents and the air flow. We process this data in a very accurately substantiated report for the customer, with sound advice on how to deal with this.
In recent years we have helped many national and international customers with the reduction of these emissions and heat conversion.
Cervitech is also asked by many environmental services of the government to support this complex matter. We often earn back the investment for the customer twice over in a few years through the enormous savings on natural gas, because our systems run almost Autotherm.
