Our colleague René Postmus will start at Gasunie on November 1 as a Route Engineer. Rene, a very experienced work planner / engineer in infrastructure technology, has gained a lot of experience in engineering complex infrastructure networks during his career.
That complexity is also what René was born for, the crazier and more complex the better the challenge! Planning and coordinating projects is also part of René's position.
In order to carry out these activities properly, René works together with the various layers within the organization, from project leaders and executors to field workers and technicians.
In order to build as efficiently as possible, it is necessary to look ahead. That is why the Dutch grid operators want to know how the energy transition can develop towards 2050, how we get energy to the right place on time and how many technicians, materials and space are needed to adapt our energy grids accordingly.
In 2050 the Netherlands want no CO2 emit more and therefore be climate neutral. This means that we have to organize our energy system in a different way: the demand for energy is changing and increasing. This 'redesign of our energy system' is the largest renovation in our country and the joint grid operators are working hard to adapt and expand the energy infrastructure accordingly. For example, the network operators will jointly invest 5 billion euros this year and even 8 billion euros annually from 2025 in the energy networks. Limiting factors are the amount of available materials and the shortage of technical professionals. This is also the reason why Gasunie and other network parties use the knowledge of agencies such as Cervitech!
Cervitech is happy to be part of this wonderful redesign of our energy system.
